Staying at home activities is the best way to keep yourself and your family bonding. Take this time to know each other better, take a break and have fun, especially this holiday season.
It’s time to plan a stay home activity for you and your child! It’s also important to ensure your child stays entertained while you do busy work around the house.

Here is a list of suggestions for stay-at-home kid activities that are fun for children of all ages and have educational value! You can find plenty of stay home kid activities to keep your child busy while you do chores around the house. All it takes is a little creativity and some simple supplies!

1. Puzzles

Many of us may have forgotten the joy of completing a jigsaw puzzle, chasing mazes in the book, or even playing chess. Take this opportunity to plan a day during the weekend, to have classic board games, challenge your kids to complete a puzzle together.

Puzzles can improve your child’s spatial reasoning, which is an essential part of their development. It also helps them with fine motor skills and problem-solving in general.

If you think puzzles are too old school, try finding a digital version and complete it together. You will love digipuzzle.net – It has a section just for kids, and not only do they have coloring, jigsaw puzzles, search puzzles, sudoku, and much more. You can even set difficulty levels.

2. Virtual Tours

You may not know this, but right now, there are many virtual tours available. Bring your kids through a world of virtual and be amazed at the same time at how technology has advanced so quickly.

Virtual tours are a great way to introduce history, art, animals, and even geography to your stay home kids. If your child is an animal lover like mine, I suggest visiting the Singapore Zoo through their virtual tour or watching one of our favorite TV shows about tigers!

Another great site I recommend is thechinaguide.com  – It has beautiful photographs of the China landscape, architecture, and cuisine!

They’re sure to be both entertained and educated when you show them these travel tips online. You can even try visiting places around your country or city through travel sites.

The virtual tour from thechinaguide.com starts from $8USD, and you get to enjoy tours to the Great Wall of China, the Forbidden City, and more! (https://www.thechinaguide.com/virtual-tours)

3. Video Conferencing

Plan a video conference call for your child by inviting their friends or family members. Give your child an experience of video conferencing, staying connected with their friends and family members.

Many video conference apps are available; the most popular are zoom and google meet. Try them out with your kids! Video conferencing can do multiple times, and it doesn’t even require much preparation.

Many people don’t know this, but you get to see the other person’s face while talking. This is an excellent Stay-at-Home Kid activity, and it can be fun to try out!

Sign up for a virtual workshop for your child; with many workshops available, it is an excellent time to pick up new skills such as music, singing, art class, or become a magician with our magic workshop.

There is a wide variety of skills and knowledge to gain from it through the internet. It’s also possible for them to interact with other people who share the same interests as they do.
